    1. I am Very Unhappy. No, that doesn't even begin to cover it. I am so pissed that I wish I had never read this book. In the *calculates* twelve or so hours since I read it I have been stewing over it and just getting more and more mad. Warning: there may be flying rabid froth ahead.(view spoiler)[ I loved Giordan. He was sweet and his life was crap. But, it was improving, you say. Ha! Really? With the over-privileged over-indulged, overly selfish Shane and his fawning family? I say Gio deserved be [...]

    2. 3.75*The cover spoke to me, something about it just captured my interest. I also like the title and the blurb intrigued me.I don't think I've read an m/m amnesia story before or if I did, it was more of a cop/murder/mystery which is not this book, at all. This was not what I expected, but I was hooked. I wanted to know what happened and why things are the way they are now. I enjoyed it because of Gio, and the way it was told and that the story felt unique and a little different. It's told complet [...]

    3. 3.5 StarsFull review can be found at On Top Down Under Book Reviews. This a unique story. Giordan, an artist, wakes up after being in a coma for five years completely alone, and with no memory of anything other than his name. There are no family, no friends. Shortly after, he is released from the hospital into the unknown. Another hospital visit a few months later brings him face-to-face with Chloe Devereaux, a true southern woman who has known Giordan for many years. He is released from the hosp [...]

    4. I have a confession; I have this fantasy about amnesia. I romanticize it in a way, the chance to wake up not knowing who you are/were or what you had been through. An opportunity to start over, to become someone new, to possibly become the person you were meant to be but didn’t become. It’s a fantasy and it’s also a nightmare. The nightmare is for many reasons but I am fascinated by amnesia, not just of the starting over opportunity but the fact our brain can be so traumatized we simply fo [...]

    5. Raine O’Tierney is an artist, or maybe, I would better brand her as a craftsperson. I compare O’Tierney’s novella, Sweet Giordan, Please Remember, to a finely honed work of literary sculpture, one that fuses charming and genteel Southern society, the frustrating mystery of unanswered questions, and an undeniable shadow of fiercely treasured past love, into a soft-edged, silky, and sinuous work of art.In the way that a skilled craftsperson judiciously chooses her tools, each word in O’Tie [...]

    6. I was able to read after it was accepted by DSP and before it was published. I have never thought I would want a strong female presence in my M/M romance. I've balked at the idea in the past, but when you write sassy, strong, interesting women that add to the flavor of the story, I'm a convert. This is a sweet tale of loss and the need to be accepted and loved as you are. Also, there is a need to remember what was forgotten. Giordan made me feel for him, made me root for him, care about him. And [...]

    7. This is one of those books where the reasoning behind the characters’ actions are either going to enrage you or you will fall in love with Giordan and gloss over behaviors and plot points. I’m leaning mostly towards the latter. You have a character suffering from amnesia and a cast of characters that all seem to know him that he struggles to remember. He’s an artist and kind and wonderful to read.Giordan as a character is SO sweet and his relationship and love with Shane was beautiful. I wi [...]

    8. Full review to come, because I really need to think about what I want to say. I read a few of the other reviews along the way and I wondered if maybe they were reading a different story from the one I was reading, because I truly can not see how this is worth any less than five stars.Actually, no, I'll just say it now. This is a beautiful story of a man with amnesia and his journey to recover the memories he has lost through the only medium that works for him: his art. The author's attention to d [...]

    10. This is a beautifully written story about a young man with amnesia desperate to remember his love. Raine O'Tierney's writing style is wonderful. I love that I was transported right into the character's world, and I love that Giordan finds he can use painting to step behind his 'mental veil'.Recommended.

    11. I struggled mightily with this story because Gio was treated as if he did something horribly wrong, instead of being injured severely enough to be in a coma for FIVE years and then waking up not knowing anything but his own name.Apparently, as this happened off page, Shane had asked his long time boyfriend, Gio to marry him, he says yes, then disappears, only to be found in a hospital over FIVE years later. This is where it goes downhill for me. Shane takes it as a personal insult that Gio took [...]

    12. If you are looking for a gentle m/m, you may want to consider giving this second-chance-at-love story a try. It’s light on sex, and honestly, kind of light on romance. But I found it easy to connect to and I quickly grew to care for the main character as he struggled to get his life back.Giordan lost his memory after a serious car accident put him in a coma for five years. When he woke up in the hospital, the only things he knew about himself were his name and the fact that he was an artist. U [...]

    13. Giordan Stone remembers his name and nothing else. His life is a mystery to him. He woke in a hospital after five years in a coma, and then again seven years later, when they found him seriously ill, living under a bridge.Chloe Devereaux is his caregiver, his Maman. She has taken him into her home and tends to all his needs as she works to rebuild his strength. Giordan wants to remember—he aches to remember. Even though he is afraid, too—afraid of what he might learn about himself and his li [...]

    14. Giordan Stone doesn't know much about his life when he wakes from his coma. He doesn't know why Chloe Devereaux, who he is told is no relation to him - cares for him, shelters him, acts as a playfully-abusive southern parent, and fulltime physical therapist. He is sure her home is familiar. He is sure he feels himself while painting the landscapes of her estate. He is sure there is more to his past when he sees her son Shane.Shane was his first flicker of memory, and rightness, but Shane seems to [...]

    15. Sweet Giordan, Please Remember is a sweet novella about a young man recovering from an accident that left him with amnesia and physical trauma - and finding love again.I immediately fell in love with Giordan. He is sweet, despite going through horrible things in his life. He is an artists and uses his art to put bits and pieces of his life together. I didn't doubt at all that Shane loved him. But I had difficulty understanding some of his actions. Chloe, Shane's mother, was a delight - feisty, l [...]

    16. 3.5 stars - Although some aspects of the story bothered me, such as Shane's stubbornness, distance, and lack of true presence throughout the story (view spoiler)[(and the fact that I was more than a little miffed that Giordan and Shane didn't really get together until the very end) (hide spoiler)], I really enjoyed the read. It was bittersweet in some ways, and Giordan's struggle to remember Shane and their life together felt very real and heartfelt. I ached for Giordan, wanted to smack some sen [...]

    17. Dreamspinner tweetaway 26.11.14This one didn't work for me but I think it may be a case of 'It's me, not the book' as some of the issues surrounding medical care for amnesiac/brain injury patients and rehabitation don't translate outside of the US

    19. 4.5*Reviewed for Rainbow Gold ReviewsDo you know that: You walk along the street and suddenly there is a smell…you know it, remember clearly smelling it somewhere and connect it with a person and/or a feeling….but you just can´t place a time or place to it. You there with me…s? Then welcome to Giordon Stone´s life. After a horrible accident Giordan was in a coma for five years. In that time nobody claimed him, knows him. He himself suffers from amnesia, only knowing his name and his profe [...]

    20. Giordan’s past is a mystery because he’s been in an accident and now he has to rebuild some semblance of a life. Then he meets a man, Shane, who ignites his desires but not his memory. Does he know this man or is he just smitten?I found this long novella bittersweet—and aggravating for several reasons. That, however, does not make this a bad book. Not at all. I like stories that engage me emotionally, and this tale of woe had me so irked I nearly tossed it across the room a couple of times [...]

    21. I am pretty torn with this one. It's really a 2 star, but the quality of the writing is making me bump it up to 3. It was VERY well written. I spent most of the book on the verge of tears because I felt so much for Giordan. Which is were the problems come in. I felt so much for him, that I HATED the way people treated him. HE WAS HIT BY A CAR AND IN A COMA FOR FIVE YEARS and yet somehow everyone treats him like a villain who needs to prove he's "changed" or "worthy" of St. Shane's love. And real [...]

    23. This is a delightful book. My big beef is that it’s so short! I loved Chloe, a fully realized and grounded character. I loved the way Giordan’s memories came back to him through art, and the “art trance” was a truly inventive vehicle, beautifully shown. I liked the fact that Shane’s family wasn’t perfect -- some believable homophobia got in the way of the love story, just like it still does in real life. The author’s handling of race and class was deft – she never ignores the fac [...]

    24. I'm so angry right now. The only way to enjoy this book is if you can buy Shane's behavior as anything even approaching the way a real person would act. I could not. And I'm not too happy about how his parents behaved either. The whole situation is ridiculous. (view spoiler)[Blaming the amnesia victim? Searching for him for 5 years, then refusing to see him once he's found? Assuming the worst about someone you've loved and had no reason to think badly of? Demanding that he recover the gaps in hi [...]

    25. Not happy with the outcome. Basically G. had to justify his accident and amnesia to his boyfriend, Shane, in order to fix their relationship. Shane was in opinion that it was his full right to refuse G. and blame him for something he couldn't remember cause he had amnesia Shane thought apparently that only his pain and feelings mattered cause he was suffering 5 years while searching for his boyfriend Hence it wasn't important that G. lost 5 years of his life, dying almost twice by accident and s [...]

    26. I will confess upfront that this book is filled with things that are Not My Trope. If the themes in this book (including amnesia) are Your Trope, this is definitely a 5 star read. Raine's sparkling prose is clean and elegant and never gets in the way of the story, which develops clearly, with good amounts of of attention and payoff. Her supporting characters are well-developed. Perfect read for a rainy Sunday.

    27. Sweet but a little sad. I think it was unfair how everyone jumped to negative conclusions about Giordan's disappearance and how Shane held his coma and amnesia against him. I would have liked to know exactly why Giordan left that night.
