    1. One of the things I have found in reading the few of Glenn’s works that I have, is that you can pick up any of the “Dr. Shadows” books or collections to read and not find yourself to be terribly lost. Glenn gives enough background information for the reader to work with, allowing for you to focus on the plot rather than getting hung up figuring out who the main character is, who the secondary characters are, and why they all interact with each other the way they do. Since these books have [...]

    2. As with all Dr. Shadows stories, Anton and his partner in justice, Han Ku Lee, are up to their necks in excitement, adventure, and danger as they struggle to protect Father Dmitri and discover the meaning of “the Madame’s” message. And what a shocker that revelation is. The doctor’s in top form in this story though none of his associates, other than Hank, are in attendance, ewxcept at the beginning. There’s a little more of Dr. Shadows’ background in this one, the why-he’s-that-way [...]

Sometimes the writing comes off a bit clunky, but, as with his other works, Glenn gives us a venerable, easy-to-root-for character in Dr. Shadows—I enjoyed following his escapades and quest for justice. I sometimes had trouble remembering who was who, as a myriad of characters are intro [...]
